Lets have a quicky, yes online dating .. the world of bad pick up lines, unsoilicted dick pics and well what else is out there ? What’s the first thing you think of when you hear the term online dating? For many, it’s skepticism or even annoyance. It can be hard to wrap your head around the idea that online dating sites could help you find love and even change your life—but they absolutely can! All it takes is the right approach, Starting an online dating profile can be an intimidating process, particularly if you’re new to the dating game and have never tried online dating before.

There is never a time to be lonely right ? if your looking for a one night stand, casual dating, baby mumma/daddy, wife/husband/lover what ever think about what you want before you create this new profile, if its; I’m not looking to settle down right now, you say. I want to focus on my career right now, and I’ll think about love later, when I have more time and money to devote to finding it. It might sound like the smart thing to do, but it might not be wise. Because when your not looking you may find your sole mate too.

First, let’s cover some basics on online dating and how it can actually help you find love!

Why Date Online? A lot of people are set in their ways when it comes to romantic relationships, but there’s nothing stopping you from trying online dating if you haven’t already. Online dating doesn’t work for everyone—but it’s certainly worth a shot if you aren’t having luck finding love otherwise. And there are tons of reasons online dating works. First, it gives you a bunch of options—you can see which profiles pique your interest and send out some messages without feeling overwhelmed or like you have too much on your plate.

According to Pew Research, 15% of online American adults are estimated to have used an online dating site or mobile dating app. Additionally, 60% of internet users under 30 report having used an online dating site or app. For whatever reason, people are turning more and more toward technology when it comes time for them to find someone with whom they’d like a relationship—which is why you should too! Even if there’s no way you’re going out on a date right now, it’s smart to get your foot in the door anyway. You never know who you might meet and how your life might change because of it.

Selecting Your Dating Platform, soooo many websites/apps to choose form lets be real about that. Tinder is a sex booking site, if you want to bump those pretties together then sign up there. However the more intimate sites are around to find “the one”, how I see it There are two basic ways to approach online dating: general sites that allow you to search based on location, appearance, etc., or niche sites focused on an interest or demographic. So, for example, if you're looking for a relationship its time to just try them all and see what works for you.

Remember Choosing a Good Profile Picture is KEY, its swipe right or swipe left pretty quickly on those first impressions. Did you know that two-thirds of your brain processes visual information? Which means choosing a photo that makes you look as attractive as possible is critical. Here are some tips for taking a great profile picture: Smile; it makes you seem happier and more approachable. Wear colors that complement your skin tone (like light blues, yellows, or pinks). Make sure your hair looks nice; anyone can pull off messy bed head in real life, but it doesn’t translate well in photos. Take pictures with friends! People like people who have friends (and hey, if they happen to be cute friends who want to date you...). Don’t choose blurry pictures of yourself looking away from the camera. Make sure your face is completely visible in every shot.

Then the next part is communication !! Starting Conversations, It’s easy to find yourself paralyzed by your own nerves when starting a conversation with someone you’re interested in online. But, you have nothing to lose by taking action. In fact, being bold and proactive is a trait that many online daters look for in others; so take a chance and start those conversations! Just remember that it’s important to do so thoughtfully: Be genuine, be yourself, and respect others' time. When it comes down to it, finding love online requires common sense—just like any relationship. Keep an open mind and don't jump into anything too quickly; before long, you'll be on your way toward finding your match!
